Assistant Director: Diversity Management

Requirements Minimum educational qualification:
An appropriate three-year National Diploma or Degree.
 
Experience:
Appropriate relevant experience. Appropriate experience in project management and contract management.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Development, implementation, monitoring, review and reporting on policies, strategies, programmes and projects to promote diversity management, youth, and gender equality in the workplace. Administer Contract Management in the Diversity Management Focus Areas. Research, develop, administer, operationalise, and implement projects and programmes that promote of Diversity Management (Gender, Youth, Organisational Culture) strategies. Administer reporting, Assist with the development and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation framework for Diversity Management Render a logistical, administrative, and financial management function. Supervisory duties including the mentorship and empowerment of staff.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Sound and in-depth knowledge of the Commission on Gender Equality Act and the related strategic framework, Human Rights mainstreaming framework, National Youth Policy, National and Provincial Strategic plans related to gender equality and Women empowerment and the HOD 8 action plan principle. Knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment, Employment Equity Act, and applicable legislation. Sound knowledge and understanding of Organisational cultural surveys and Transformation in the department. Ability to interpret and apply legislation as well as relevant frameworks. Facilitation, writing, research, conceptualisation, statistical analysis, and communication (written and verbal) skills. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams) and online platforms. Creativity, self-motivation, assertiveness, and ability to work in a team. Ability to prioritise and organise work, exercise self-discipline and function under pressure, Problem solving skills. Ability to work independently without supervision and handle a high work volume.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid driver’s licence code B/EB Willingness to travel throughout the province.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 424 104 per annum - R 496 467 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
