Senior Personnel Practitioner (Establishment Administration)

Experience:
Appropriate experience in Establishment Administration. Appropriate experience in a supervisory position. Appropriate PERSAL experience.
 
Requirements:
Appropriate three-year National Diploma/Degree in Human Resources related field.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills)
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet). Ability to function as a team player, with or without supervision. Ability to function under stressful environment and cope with a heavy workload. Leadership capabilities, managerial and organisational skills. Ability to manage conflict and function under pressure. Ability to analyses, interpret and apply legislation, policies and prescripts. Knowledge of Recruitment and selection processes.
 
Duties (Key result areas/outputs)
Facilitate, co-ordinate and manage HR Planning, Establishment Control (including the APL budget), Job Evaluation processes and transfer of staff and Compensation management for ECSS. Effectively manage the Establishment Administration component. Conduct training to Monitoring of APL/Non-APL and reporting. Ensure effective supervision of Establishment within staff and line mangers and provide support and guidance within the scope of the above profile. Serve as nodal point for maintaining and reporting on integrated HR Information (within the scope of profile) to various stakeholders. Effective management and development of sub ordinates and co-ordinate an equitable workflow. Assist in Recruitment and selection functions.

Note:

Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid Driver’s licence. Excellent written and verbal proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Willingness to travel and work overtime when required.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 359 517-R 397 104 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
