| A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse in General Nursing. At least 6 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience after obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualification reflected as in the requirements above. At least 3 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience at management level. |

| Basic R425 qualification (i.e., degree/diploma in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Professional Nurse. Post-basic qualification with duration of at least 1 year in Clinical Nursing Science: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care. |

| Knowledge of appropriate legislation, regulations and Departmental Policies. Basic knowledge and experience in office administration, financial and procurement administration. Computer literacy, experience in the use of clinical equipment and control of budget levels. |

| Management of facility and development of facility strategic plans. Render an effective and comprehensive nursing treatment and care to patients. Provide continuous holistic and comprehensive nursing care. Manage human resources financial and administration duties. Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure good nursing care. Work effectively, co-operatively amicably with persons of diverse intellectual, cultural, racial or religious differences. Perform a clinical nursing practice in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards as determined by the relevant health facility. Promote quality of nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards as determined by the relevant health facility. Implement and monitor all PHC health programs, Rehab programs, community programs and COPC and MECC. Monitor and evaluate all health programs according to APP and AOP. Implement all QA, QI, OHAS programs. |

| Valid Code (B/EB) drivers licence. Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. |

Remuneration:

R 683 838 per annum - R 767 184 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
