Clinical Nurse Practitioner Grade 1 to 2 PHC: (Clinical Trainer)

Inherent requirements of the job:
A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence and willingness to work after hours. Good communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape (written and verbal).
 
Requirements Minimum educational qualification:
Basic qualification accredited with the SANC in terms of Government Notice 425 (i.e., diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. A post-basic qualification with duration of at least 1-year Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care, accredited with SANC (R48).
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Facilitate and teach the development of learning opportunities for all nursing personnel and students. Facilitate the in-service training /updating of skills and competencies as well as the orientation programs for nurses and students. Evaluate and assess the competencies and skills of nursing personnel and students. Ensure the appropriate placement and accompaniment of nursing personnel and nursing students. Effective management of resources.
 
Experience:
Grade 1: A Minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Grade 2: A Minimum of 14 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 10 years of the periods referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience in the specific speciality after obtaining the one-year post-basic qualification in Clinical Nursing Science: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care, accredited with SANC (R48).
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of procedures relating to nursing education, training and of basic post basic nursing. Knowledge and understanding of nursing Code of Ethics and Professional Practice of the SANC of nursing Standard of Practice and scope of practice. Computer literate in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.

Note:
No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Candidates who are not in possession of the stipulated registration requirements may also apply. Registration with a professional council:

Remuneration:
Grade 1: R 431 265 - R 497 193 (PN-B1) per annum - Grade 2: R 528 696 - R 645 720 (PN-B2) per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
