Administrative Officer: Supply Chain Management

Note:
Only officials within the Provincial Government: Western Cape will be considered for this post. Shortlisted candidates will be expected to undergo the following assessments: Oral interview and/or practical assessment.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
A valid (code B/EB) driver’s licence Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. Computer literate (MS Office package, e-mail and internet).
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills)
Ability to work independently and function well in a team. Ability to prioritize and good problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain accurate record keeping and reporting to the supervisor.
 
Experience:
Appropriate contract management experience. Appropriate procurement and overall supply chain experience. Appropriate experience with the BAS & LOGIS systems.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Contract administration - contract amendments, extensions, expansions, cancellations, ROE claims. Contract management – payment / procurement of contracts, supplier relationship management, managing supplier performance. Governance and support – including the maintenance of a specifications database. Coordinate training and development of staff. Human resource management – including supervision of staff.

Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focus on the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) of the post.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 294 321-R 343 815 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
