System Controller: HIS (Clinicom/eCCR) (2 posts)

Experience:
Appropriate experience in patient administration (Clinicom) and clinical field (eCCR) including knowledge of hospital fees in WCG Department of Health and hospital services. Appropriate experience in training of hospital systems for admin/clinical staff. Appropriate experience in health system/staff support. Appropriate experienced in supervision of staff.
 
Requirements Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate three (3)-year National Diploma/Degree.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Duties will be performed for a number of sites within the specified Districts where the HIS is implemented and the successful candidate will be required to travel to these sites and to the HIS Office on a regular basis. Ensure effective communication with relevant role players to identify and escalate concerns and successes. Ensure that all the activities related to system support and client services are provided. Ensure that the system is stabilised at the various hospitals and that the ongoing maintenance and support are provided. Quality checking/testing of health systems. Printer Management System maintenance. Identify, address, and monitor training needs for the Clinicom and related systems eCCR/Netterm. Provide system training and updating, dissemination of training material. Ensure that the information management services are maintained including the support to IO/supervisor/users.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Skilled in verbal and written communication, meeting, presentation, change management and training. Experienced and skilled in-patient administration implementation, data integrity/quality checks, business process analysis, mapping, modelling and re-engineering. Sound interpersonal, motivational and leadership skills. Extensive experience in all aspects of Hospital Administration and procedures e.g., Systems Access Control, PMI, Medical Records, Inpatients, Outpatients, etc. Appropriate experience and skills in the following: hospital administration and clinical functionality,eCCR, Clinicom modules and implementation thereof, Clinicom master file maintenance system (Netterm), User access and security management , Clinicom printing management, registering of system requirements, management of system problems, system training, down time procedures, data capturing, business process re-engineering, quality control, presentation skills and helpdesk procedure. Experienced in the Clinicom system, eCCR, Netterm at Health institutions, PERMIS, Microsoft programs i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, etc, software, ARS/BMC system for helpdesk calls and GroupWise/MS Outlook/Teams.
 
Note:
The successful official will be placed/stationed at a satellite office (Red Cross Hospital or Lentegeur Hospital) in Metro District as determine by the HIS Application Centre Office but will be expected to travel on a regular basis between the Health Institutions and facilities in these districts for system support services. The successful candidate base will be the HIS Application Centre Office, C11, Tygerberg Hospital. A Practical system test might be required. No payment of any kind is required when applying for the post. Only Applicants within the Provincial Government: Western Cape will be considered for these posts.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid Code B driver’s licence. Willingness to work/travel between WCG Health institutions.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 359 517 per annum - R 420 402 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
