| A minimum of 8 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 3 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience at management level. |

| Appropriate experience in a managerial position in a health-related NGO, private organisation, or the state sector. Appropriate experience in facility management and health technology. Proven leadership and management abilities. Knowledge of Public Health Sector legislation, policies and systems. Excellent service co-ordination, decision- making, problem- solving, interpersonal and people management skills. Quality Assurance and risk management. Financial and supply chain management skills. |

| Basic R425 qualification (i.e. degree/diploma in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. |

| Provide leadership and ensure sound governance structure at the transitional care facility. Ensure the implementation and operational management of the appropriate transitional care services at the facility. Ensure strategic management and planning. Ensure assurance of access to a quality, person-centred transitional care service at delegated facility. Sound Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, People Management and Labour Relations. Management of support service systems that will enhance service delivery and quality of care. Ensure effective information management and implement a monitoring and evaluation system. Develop, implement and maintain a contingency plan (disaster plan) to deal with emergencies. |

| Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. Willingness to work shifts, public holidays, after hours, weekends and do standby as require. |

Remuneration:

R 627 474 - R 703 752 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
