Clinical Nurse Practitioner: Grade 1 to 2 (PHC) (Nimart Training) (1 Year Contract)

Inherent requirement of the job:
A valid (code B/EB/C1) driver’s licence. Willingness to travel across the district. Willingness to be trained as a NIMART mentor.
 
Minimum educational qualifications:
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. A post-basic qualification with a duration of at least 1 year Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care accredited with the SANC (i.e. R48).
 
Note:
Candidates who are not in possession of the stipulated registration requirements may also apply. Such candidates will only be considered for appointment on condition that proof of application for registration to register with the relevant council and proof of payment of the prescribed registration fees to the relevant council are submitted on or before the day of the interview. This concession is only applicable to candidates who apply for the first time for registration in the post basic qualification: Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment Care.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Coordinate facilitate learning opportunities for Registered Professional Nurses in NIMART. Coordinate and facilitate the in-service training and updating of skills in TB HIV integration. Evaluate and assess the competencies and skills of nursing personnel. Perform all related administrative tasks.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good verbal and written skills. Good organizational skills. Ability to transfer clinical experience, knowledge and skills. Computer skills (MS Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
 
Experience:
Grade 1: A minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Grade 2: A minimum of 14 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 10 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience in the specific speciality after obtaining the one-year post-basic qualification with the SANC.

Remuneration:
Grade 1: R 451 533- R 530 376 per annum, Grade 2: R 553 545- R 686 211 per annum Annual salary plus 37% in lieu of service benefits.
