Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Ability to operate an electronic switchboard. Excellent listening skills and telephone etiquette. Computer literacy in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel and Outlook).
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in operating an electronic switchboard and a messaging system.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std. 7).

Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Operate electronic switchboards, answer telephonic queries and deliver messages. Ensure that switchboard and telephone equipment is in working order. Monitor, place and record all cellular, national and international calls made. Effectively sending of bulk SMS’s. Perform administration duties in the paging office. Update speed dials and speed dial directory and report all telephone faults and switchboard errors to the Supervisor.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Work shifts, night shifts, weekends and public holidays. Work overtime when required for operational needs.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R183,279- R 215,892 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
