Principal Housekeeping Supervisor (Environmental Hygiene Services)

Requirements
Senior Certificate (plus competencies).
 
Note:
Only officials employed by the Western Cape Provincial Government will be considered for this post.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in Cleaning, Contract Management, Waste Management and personnel/office management.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy (MS Word and MS Excel). Sound knowledge in cleaning materials/equipment, HR Policies, Disciplinary Code and Procedure. Sound Knowledge of Cost Centre Requisition System (Health System Technology Clinicom Production). Sound verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Manage hygienic responsibilities within allocated areas including the Supervision of allocated EHS staff and contractors as well as Waste management. Provide a safe, cost-effective and an optimal cleaning service includes the supervision of agency staff as per contract. Provide personnel administration duties that is allowances, pay sheets, leave application. Ensure an effective Human Resource Management support function to Administrative Officer with regard to areas of responsibilities such as exits, recruitment and selection, Staff Performance Reviews, attend Meetings and monitoring of registers. Effective stock control as well as ordering of stock.

Inherent requirement of the job:
Willing to perform standby duties and work irregular hours. Must be of sober habits.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 173 703- R 204 612 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
