Experience:
Appropriate cleaning experience in a health environment.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
 
Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
General cleaning and maintenance (sweeping, scrubbing, refuse removal, dusting, mopping, polishing, cleaning clinic grounds, cleaning of windows and walls). Effective and efficient utilization and storage of cleaning material and equipment. Adhering to safety precautions and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety policies. Maintain a high standard of neatness and hygiene in the facility. Provide optimal support to the supervisor and colleagues with general housekeeping duties and services. Adhere to general hygienic and safe environment in terms of standards and procedures.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Knowledge of the correct methods of handling and disposal of refuse/waste products and to adhere to policies and cleaning procedures. Knowledge of legislation and policies of the Department of Health and Wellness relevant to cleaning practice. Ability to operate machinery and equipment used in domestic and clinic cleaning services.

Note:
No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Candidates will be subjected to a practical/written assessment. The pool of applicants will be considered for similar vacant posts within the Garden Route District for a period of 3 months from date of advert.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Physical able to lift and/or move heavy objects and supplies.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 138 486 - R 163 131 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
