Operational Manager Nursing Grade 1 (General: Hast)

Experience:
A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognisable nursing experience after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team. Good organisational, interpersonal, leadership, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to promote quality patient care through the setting, implementation and monitoring of standards. Knowledge and insight of relevant legislation and policies related to nursing within the public sector. Basic computer literacy. Trained in clinical Management of HIV and NIMART.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Basic R425 qualification (i.e., Degree/Diploma in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration as a Professional Nurse with the South Africa Nursing Council (SANC) as a General Nurse and Midwife.
 
Registration with a Professional Council:
Current registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.

Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Provide innovative leadership and oversight in delivering of high-quality HIV, AIDS, STI, and TB (HAST) services. Clinical management of clients with Chronic diseases and NIMART mentoring. A portion of the duties will include direct patient facing duties as well as promoting integration. Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, policies, regulations and ethical standards pertaining to nursing care within the relevant Department. Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety. Maintain constructive working relationships with nursing and other stakeholders (i.e. interprofessional, inter-sectorial and multi-disciplinary teamwork). Provide effective support and management of human, material and financial resources. Participate in Community involvement (COPC). Collect, verify and timeous submission of accurate statistics for the enhancement of service delivery.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 549,192 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
