Housekeeping Supervisor

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Ability to communication effectively. Excellent filing and recordkeeping skills. Knowledge of linen and stock control. Knowledge of infection control. Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team.
 
Experience:
Appropriate housekeeping experience in a health environment. Appropriate administrative and supervisory experience in a Health Sector.
 
Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Control of cleaning services at Hospital as well as Nurses home. Supervision of household aids/cleaner as well as laundry staff. Stock, equipment and inventory control. Logistical arrangement of training and workshop functions. Responsible for all administrative duties associated with supervision. Attend in-service training appropriate to service delivery.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
General Education and Training certificate (GETC) / Grade 9 (Std 7).

Note:

Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel. Willingness to work overtime, shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 193 359 per annum - R 227 766 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
