Nursing Assistant Grade 1 to 3: (Childrens Ward)

Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Assist patients with activities of daily living (physical care). To provide elementary clinical nursing care. Effective utilization of physical and financial resources. Maintain professional growth/ ethical standards and self-development.
 
Registration with a Professional Council:
Current registration with SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good Interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently, but also as a part of a team.
 
Experience:
Grade 1: None Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/ recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/ recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.

Minimum educational qualification:
Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
 
Note:
The pool of applicants will be considered for similar vacant posts within the Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services, for a period of 3 months from date of advert. Candidates will be subjected to a practical/written and oral assessment.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Willing to rotate in other wards when required. Willingness to work shifts (day and night), weekends, public holidays and overtime.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Grade 1: R 174 261 - R 199 254 per annum, Grade 2: R 203 271 - R 230 694 per annum, Grade 3: R 239 559 - R 298 932 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
