A minimum of 9 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing. At least 5 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience after obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualification in Curative Skills in Primary Health Care (R48). |

Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. Post-basic qualification with duration of at least 1-year Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care (R48), accredited with SANC. |

Effective management of Support Services which includes, Information Management with regards to data collection, verification, report writing and submission of data, Human Resources (supervision of staff, development and performance management), Finance and Supply Chain Management to ensure effective budgeting and control. Control over infrastructure, maintenance and security. Liaise with relevant stakeholders including Facility Committees. Co-ordinate and evaluate Health programmes in respected area. Co-ordinate and evaluate Community Based Health Services in respected area. Overall management of clinic. |

Exposure to managerial functions in Primary Health Care Facilities. Good communication skills. Computer literacy (MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint). |

No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. The pool of applicants will be considered for similar vacant posts within the Garden Route District for a period of 3 months from date of advert. Candidates will be subjected to a practical/ oral assessment. |

Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife and proof of current registration. |

Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence and willingness to travel. Willingness to rotate between PHC clinics within the Sub-district. |

Remuneration:
|
R 693 096 - R 789 861 per annum (Plus a non-pensionable rural allowance of 8% of basic annual salary) Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
