Household Aid (2 Posts) (Chronic Ward)

Inherent requirements of the job:
Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and supplies. Render a shift service on weekends, public holidays, day and night duties, rotate in different departments according to operational needs and requirements.
 
Experience:
Appropriate / recognisable experience in cleaning, linen management and handling of food.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Basic literacy and numeracy.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Incumbent must have the ability to mix cleaning fluids, count and calculate linen supply. Read diet lists. Good planning, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Note:
No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a practical test. The pool of applicants will be considered for similar vacant posts with the West Coast TB Complex (Sonstraal & ID Hospitals) for a period of 3 months from date of advert.
 
Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Renders effective, efficient and safe hygiene in wards. Serving of meals and refreshment. Handling and removal of waste. Support to Supervisor. Effective utilization of resources.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 138 486 - R 163 131 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
