Inherent requirements of the job:
A Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. Willingness to work night shifts, public holidays, weekends, overtime and be on standby.
 
Experience:
Appropriate supervisory experience of staff and mortuary administration.
 
Competencies (knowledge/ skills):
Computer skills (MS Office, Excel and Word). Knowledge of applicable death administration legislations and relevant policies. Knowledge of infection prevention and control.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) Grade 9/ STD7.

Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Responsible for overall supervision and management of Porters. Management of mortuary equipment, assets and consumables. Ensure effective and efficient mortuary administration and handling of bodies. To provide an effective and efficient support to Support Services Managers.
 
Note:
The pool of applicants will be considered for other similar vacant posts within the Chief Director: Metro Health Services, for a period of 3 months from the date of advert. Candidates will be subjected to a practical/ written and oral assessment.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 163,680 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
