Security Officer (2 posts)

Experience:
Appropriate experience as a Security Officer in health facility.
 
Registration with a Professional Council:
Candidates have to be registered as a Security Officer Grade C or higher with the Security Board in terms of the Security Industry Regulatory Authority Act PSIRA
 
Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Ensure access/egress control, patrolling of buildings, parking areas and perimeter fencing. Investigation of crimes, incidents and security breaches and taking and writing of statements and reports. Controlling of all hospital keys. Supervise outsource security officers.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) /Grade 9 (Std 7)
 
Competencies (knowledge/ skills):
Good interpersonal and communication skills. Be responsible and diligent and ability to work under pressure and the ability to work in a team as well as independently and change to any shift when required. Must be physically fit Knowledge of security related prescripts, regulations and procedures as well as Basic knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Inherent requirements of the job:
To work shifts, change shifts when required and be available on a 24-hour basis. Must have a valid driver’s license.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 163 680 - R 192 810 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
