Advanced computer literacy. Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. Ability to produce and evaluate detailed policy documentation and to produce reports of a high standard. The ability to perform a detailed and critical analysis of the performance of the healthcare service and propose constructive interventions. Project management and research skills. Be familiar with the legal, policy, managerial and clinical aspects of public health programmes/interventions and services. |

Appropriate 4 year Health related Diploma/Degree or equivalent, registrable with a South African Statutory Health Professions Council or South African Nursing Council. |

|
Appropriate experience in the management and coordination of public health programmes. Appropriate experience in clinical policy and life course vaccines. Appropriate supervisory experience. |

No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. The pool of applicants will be considered for other vacant Deputy Director: Clinical Policy and Governance posts within the Chief Directorate: Emergency & Clinical Support Services, for a period of 3 months from date of advert. Candidates may be subjected to conduct a Competency Assessment. Candidates will be subjected to a written/practical and oral assessment. |

Oversee the Clinical Policy and Governance Sub-Directorate. Manage and coordinate the development and adaptation of clinical policies, guidelines, protocols, and tools to guide the prioritisation and implementation of public health program interventions including life course vaccines. Develop monitoring and evaluation tools and mechanisms, including clinical governance assessments and information systems for health programmes. Manage human and financial resources allocated to specific health programmes. Ensure effective inter-sectoral collaboration to enhance programme outcomes. Participate as key member of the Service Priority Coordination Team and or project team in driving health systems responses as required. |

Valid (Code B/EB) drivers’ licence. Willingness to travel to the districts and national office. |

Remuneration:
|
R 1 059 105 per annum - R 1 247 574 per annum A portion of the package can be structured according to the individual's personal needs.
