Provision of clinical services and participate in the planning, monitoring and evaluation of psycho¬logical services in a unit/ward/clinic. Attend and contribute in ward rounds and in multi-disci¬plinary team feedback meetings. Manage referrals and clinically assess and diagnostically and psycho¬-dynamically formulate compli¬cated clinical conditions, problems and symptoms. Provide individual, group- and family-based psycho¬therapeutic inter¬ventions. Contribute to ward programs. Perform psycho¬metric assessments and write clinical reports. Supervision of Interns and Registrars. Lecturing and other academic activities. |

Registration with the HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist. Proof of current registration. |

Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Psychologist. |

Grade 1: None after registration as with the HPCSA as a Psychologist in respect of RSA qualified employees. 1 Year relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as a Psychologist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa. Grade 2: A minimum of 8 years relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as Psychologist in respect of RSA qualified employees. Minimum of 9 years relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as Psychologist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa. Grade 3: A minimum of 16 years relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as Psychologist in respect of RSA qualified employees. A minimum of 17 years relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as Psychologist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa. |

Knowledge of clinical assessment and management procedures. Experience in therapy supervision. Working experience with serious mental health conditions. Excellent clinical skills in terms of consultation. Good professional attitude. Communication skills. |

No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Candidates will be subjected to a written/practical and oral assessment. Candidates who are not in possession of the stipulated registration requirements may also apply. Remuneration:
|
Grade 1: R 872 709 - R 957 300 per annum, Grade 1: R 1 014 705 - R 1 124 517 per annum, Grade 3: R 1 174 848 - R 1 381 647 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
