Emergency Call Centre Agent (2 Posts)

Experience:
Appropriate Emergency/ Medical Call-Centre experience.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Computer literacy (MS office). Ability to work shifts as per roster. Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of the GEMC/CAD (computer aided dispatching system).

Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Receiving and capture incoming emergency calls on GEMS data system. Manage caller anxiety and stress. Interrogate the call and assess the nature and priority of the case. Dispatch the relevant emergency resources via radio as required. Monitor and control the progress of all emergency incidents. Maintain order and hygiene in control room.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Senior certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent).
 
Note:
Shortlisted candidates will be expected to undergo a practical assessment.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 228 321 - R 268 950 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
