|
Appropriate household/cleaning experience in a health facility environment. |

Appropriate knowledge of the correct methods of handling and disposal of refuse/waste products and adherence to policy and cleaning practices. Good communication skills. Appropriate knowledge of stock, assets, linen and equipment control. The ability to do physical tasks and operate heavy duty cleaning and household equipment. |

Basic numeracy and literacy. |
|
|
Deliver an effective cleaning service such as dusting, washing, scrubbing, polishing, washing and refuse removal. Adhere to safety measures and ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety policies and Infection Prevention Control measures. Render assistance to the supervisor with general housekeeping duties such as control of cleaning and household equipment, care and control of linen and serving of meals to patients. Support to housekeeping supervisor and adhere to policies and cleaning practices. |

No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Candidates will be subjected to a practical/written assessment. The pool of applicants will be considered for similar vacant posts within the Garden Route District for a period of 3 months from date of advert. |

Willingness to work weekends, overtime, public holidays and night duty. Willingness to relief in other departments when necessary. |

Remuneration:
|
R 138 486 per annum - R 163 131 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
