Ability to work under pressure, perform physically demanding tasks and to handle heavy objects. Ability to achieve and maintaining good interpersonal relations with staff. Appropriate knowledge of infection control, linen and stock control. Good communicate skills (verbal and written). Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel). |

Appropriate housekeeping experience in a Health Environment. Appropriate administrative and supervisory experience in a Health Sector. |
|
|
Ensure that patients are served with an appropriate diet according to his/her condition. Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the hospital environment to prevent the spread of infection and safety hazards. Supervision of household aids. Stock, equipment and inventory control. Responsible for all administrative duties associated with supervision. Attend in-service training. Effective and efficient management of all linen and stock information and ensure communication regarding operational aspects. |

No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Candidates will be subjected to a practical/written assessment. The pool of applicants will be considered for similar vacant posts within Garden Route District for a period of 3 months from the date of advert. |

Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB). Willingness to work overtime, on weekends and on Public Holidays. |

Remuneration:
|
R 193 359 per annum - R 227 766 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
