Driver (Light Duty Vehicle)

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Applied knowledge of the Transport Handbook 1 of 2019. Computer literacy (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook).
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience as a driver using GG vehicles.
 
Minimum requirements:
Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
 
Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Effective transport of official passengers, post, packages, equipment and specimens. Effective transport of blood to and from the blood bank. Maintenance of GG vehicles. Support to supervisor.

Note:
Shortlisted candidates may be subjected to a practical test. The pool of applicants will be considered for similar vacant posts within George Regional Hospital for a period of 3 months from date of advert, provided that the job title, core functions, inherent requirements, and salary level are the same as those of the advertised post.
 
Inherent Requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) drivers’ licence with PDP. Willingness to perform standby and overtime to meet the operational requirements.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 138 486 - R 163 131 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
