Housekeeping Supervisor

Experience:
Appropriate experience as a cleaner in a Health Facility. Experience with the use of cleaning equipment, cleaning materials and cleaning detergents.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9/Std 7.

Inherent requirements of the job:
Must be willing to work night shift and extended hours.
 
Note:
No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Candidates will be subjected to a written/practical and oral assessment. The pool of applications will be considered for vacancies within Metro Health Services, for a period of three months from the date of the advert, provided that the job title, core functions, inherent requirements, and salary level are the same as those of the advertised post.”
 
Duties (Key result areas/outputs):
Perform effective supervision of routine cleaning in and around the building, offices and dissection areas by utilising the available resources. Effectively manage and utilise physical and financial resources. Effectively support the supervisor by establishing a hygienic environment.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Sound interpersonal and organising skills. Knowledge of the disciplinary code and procedure for the Public Service. Appropriate recognisable supervisory housekeeping experience in rendering a support function to management. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good counselling, decision-making and problem solving skills. Knowledge of infection control, occupational health and safety.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 193 359 - R 227 766 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
