| Appropriate qualification that allows for the registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Speech Therapist and Audiologist or Speech therapist. |

| Grade 1: None after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Speech Therapist OR Speech Therapist and Audiologist. One-year relevant experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Speech Therapist OR Speech Therapist and Audiologist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform community service, as required in South Africa. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years relevant experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Speech Therapist OR Speech Therapist and Audiologist. A minimum of 11 years relevant experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Speech Therapist OR Speech Therapist and Audiologist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform community service, as required in South Africa. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years relevant experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Speech Therapist OR Speech Therapist and Audiologist. A minimum of 21 years relevant experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Speech Therapist OR Speech Therapist and Audiologist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform community service, as required in South Africa. |

| No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Candidates may be subjected to a practical. “Candidates who are not in possession of the stipulated registration requirements, may also apply. | Provide effective speech therapy service for in- and outpatients by assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients within a multidisciplinary team. Providing education and counselling to patients, family and caregivers. Monitoring and reviewing progress. Documenting patient information, patient statistics. Attending ward rounds, discussion, meeting with the multidisciplinary team. Liaising and referring appropriately. Outreaches to other facilities in the Eco System as needed Contributing to service development by monitoring, evaluating and co-ordinating existing services, identifying departmental needs, managing waiting lists, participating in implementing new services and developing management protocols for improved patient care. Assist with management of departmental resources. |

Remuneration:

Grade 1: R 413 121 per annum, Grade 2: R 482 499 per annum, Grade 3: R 564 822 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
