| Specimen receipt and handling. Performance of TDM assays. Electronic data capture (DISALAB) and clinician interface. Maintenance of the IQC programme. Instrument and Equipment Maintenance. Specialised assays – Sample receipt and handling. Assistance with stock management. |

| Trained and qualified in laboratory techniques, with recent appropriate experience and close attention to detail. Strong knowledge of the laboratory quality management systems and regulatory frameworks. Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication Trained and qualified in ISO 15189 with work experience in an accredited laboratory. Knowledge about routine drug analysis and the importance of patient management. Excellent knowledge and skills in use and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Ability to work in a team and independently. Proficiency in the management system implementation and Microsoft Office Suite. |

| Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Technologist : Clinical Pathology or Chemical Pathology. |

| Candidates who are not in possession of the stipulated registration requirements may also apply. | Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Technologist: Clinical Pathology or Chemical Pathology in respect of South African qualified employees. 1-year relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Technologist: Clinical Pathology or Chemical Pathology in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Technologist: Clinical Pathology or Chemical Pathology in respect of South African qualified employees. A minimum of 11 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Technologist: Clinical Pathology or Chemical Pathology in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Technologist: Clinical Pathology or Chemical Pathology in respect of South African qualified employees. A minimum of 21 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Technologist: Clinical Pathology or Chemical Pathology in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa. |

Remuneration:

Grade 1: R 413 121 per annum, Grade 2: R 482,499 per annum, Grade 3: R 564,822 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
