Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in any two of the three languages of the Western Cape. Ability and willingness to work shifts including weekends, public holidays as required. Good interpersonal, decision making and problem - solving skills. Ability to manage others and to work in a cooperative way within a team context. Knowledge of policies and prescripts. |

Appropriate supervisory experience. |
|
|
Effective supervision and management of unit - plan, organise, monitor and evaluate all unit activities, implement relevant policies, protocols and procedures. Report to Theatre Operational manager. Quality assurance - Infection prevention and control; risk management, OHS, Maintain a hygienic environment. Resource management – planning duty rosters, annual leave, performance evaluation, in service training, discipline and grievance handling. Consumable stock, theatre linen and equipment management. Liaise with internal and external customers (later includes allocated CHCs and MOUs). |

Remuneration:
|
R 173 703- R 204 612 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
