Head Clinical Unit: Grade 1 (Neonatology)

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience as a Medical Sub-Specialist after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Sub-Specialist in Neonatology.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
After-hours duty.
 
Requirements
An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Sub-specialist Neonatologist.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good communication skills. Ability to work in a team. A PhD in Neonatology is advisable.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Manage the Neonatal ICU Clinical Unit. Provide specialist care of neonates in Tygerberg Childrens Hospital. Take part in under- and post-graduate training. Supervise research activities.

Remuneration:
Grade 1 : R 1 728 807-R 1 834 890 per annum (A portion of the package can be structured according to the individuals personal needs.) A portion of the package can be structured according to the individual's personal needs.
