A minimum of 8 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) in General Nurse. At least 3 years of the preriod referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience at management level. |

Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. |

|
Good interpersonal relations, leadership and communication skills (verbal and written) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Knowledge of the Community Orientated Primary Health Care (COPC) approach and Health Care 2030 vision. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team as a supervisor. |

|
Provide effective support to the Comprehensive Health Component in the district office. Manage the implementation of the COPC approach and support the external and internal interface. Support with the management of Non Profit Institutions (NPIs), as well as the Eye Care and Refraction Services. Organise and support with the recruitment, selection, orientation and training of staff. Monitor and support with quality data submission. |

Valid (Code B/EB) drivers licence and willingness to travel. |

Remuneration:
|
R 562 800 (PN-A7)- R 652 437 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
