Senior Administrative Officer: Support Services

Inherent requirement of the job:
Ability to work under pressure and available after-hours, when necessary. Sufficiently physically fit and healthy and able to walk long distances in the confines of the building and various project sites. Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
 
Minimum educational qualifications:
Appropriate 3-year National Diploma/Degree.
 
Experience:
Appropriate project or contract and theoretical management. Appropriate recognized facility, contract or project management experience.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy in the MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications including good presentation skills. Excellent communication skills and proficient in at least two of the three languages of the Western Cape. Knowledge of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations and Contract/ Project Management. Familiar with Facilities Management processes inclusive of property leasing, managing of space, drawing up of various documents related to estates such as but not limited to memorandum of understanding or general agreements pertaining to occupation of space.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Facility Planning Facilitator for the infrastructural planning administration section of the hospital. Assist with the Allocation, Audits and planning of space within the hospital. Assist with Architectural briefs. Assist with the management of contracts (monitoring and evaluation). Assist with Lease Administration. Assist with the drawing up of Memorandum of understandings and liaison with Property Management and various other stakeholders. Assist with the management of Residences and halls.

Remuneration:
R 316 791 - R 373 167 Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
