Competencies (knowledge/skills):
An in-depth knowledge of the HIS Clinicom Tracking system, proven knowledge of medical records processes and procedures. An ability to work independently with minimum supervision and effectively within a team. An ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and care under pressure. Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Computer literacy.
 
Experience:
Appropriate medical records experience in the duties of this post in a medical records registry at a state hospital.

Note:
Only applicants within the Provincial Government: Western Cape will be considered for this post. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to do a practical test.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Render an effective and efficient medical records service and folder management. Complete relevant Clinicom Case Note Tracking system transactions. Create and maintain an effective filing system. Accurately and timeously file and retrieve all requested patient folders or case notes. Maintenance of filing banks and patient folder covers.
 
Note:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Willing to work irregular hours (i.e. shifts/weekends), when required. High ethical standards as incumbent will have access to confidential files. Ability to lift loads, be on your feet and concentrate for long periods.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 173 703 - R 204 612 Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
