Experience:
Appropriate experience in a Fees-related environment.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of Hospital Fees Memorandum 18, UPFS, HIS (Clinicom/AR/BAS Systems), Finance Instructions, PFMA and Treasury Instructions. Computer literacy (Excel and Microsoft Word). Strong sense of confidentiality. Good interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of PFMA. Knowledge of Procedures of Handling of State Money and Receipts. Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages.

Note:

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Perform Main Cashier functions in line with Hospital Fees Manual, Chapter 18 and Finance Instruction. Ensure all procedures as per Hospital Fees Manual and Financial Instructions is maintained. Issue Transport money to patients and public. Administer and control Petty Cash payments. Batching, filing and safekeeping of supporting documents. Attend to general enquiries. Perform relief duties and all administration support within the Finance Component.
 
Requirements
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics or Accountancy as passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KRA) of the post.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 173 703 - R 204 612 Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
