| Appropriate experience in Hospital Fees and Patient Administration. |

| Appropriate three-year National Diploma or Degree. |

| Knowledge of a Health information system. Knowledge of a Patient fee tariff structure. Abreast with policies and procedures pertaining to Hospital fees and Patient Administration. Good verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to act independently or as a team, objectively and with confidence. Computer literate (Microsoft Office). Ability to work under pressure, handle a high work volume and meet strict deadlines. |

| Manage the correct application of Hospital Fees policies. Ensure optimal revenue collection with due consideration to the revenue targets. Ensure UPFS accounts are finalised by the respective sub-sections and Medical Scheme invoices released manually. Responsible for the timeous and vigorous follow up of debt. Manage allocation of revenue received on the Accounts receivable System and BAS concurrently and retrospectively. Monitor and evaluate NHLS, BAS and HIS stats and implement action plans where necessary. Timeous completion of queries. Compile quarterly and annual plans of sub-section. Effective interaction with multi-disciplinary team. Supervise Hospital Fees staff in accordance with all relevant Personnel and Labour Relations policies. Plan and monitor internal and external training program of staff. Comply with the Code of Conduct regarding the Discipline and Grievance procedures. |
