| A Bachelor’s degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Social work that allows registration with the SA Council for Social Service Profession (SACSSP) as a Social Worker. |

| A minimum of 7 years appropriate experience in Social Work after registration as Social Worker with SACSSP. |
| |
|
| Comprehensive and Operational Management of Social Work Services and an Interdisciplinary Team. Comprehensive People Management and development of staff in relevant and delegated section. Information Management to promote service delivery policy development and implementation at WCRC. Liaison with internal (DOH) stakeholders to improve continuity of care. Liaison with external stakeholders in respect with training, research and innovation in the field. Financial and Asset Management within Resources and according to the prescripts of Western Cape DOH. |

| Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation- and conflict-resolution skills. Competency in Public Sector People Management, including Supervisory and Managerial skills in Health related setting, Recruitment & Selection, Performance Management, and Labour relations. Competency in information management (data management, analysis, interpretation, target setting, monitoring and evaluation) with the appropriate computer literacy skills. |
