| A minimum of 9 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing. At least 5 years of the above experience must be in psychiatry after obtaining the 1-year qualification in Advanced Psychiatric Nursing Science. |

| Basic R425 qualification (i.e. degree/diploma in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. A post-basic nursing qualification with a duration of at least 1 year accredited with the SANC in Advanced Psychiatric Nursing Science in terms of R212. |

| Excellent verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Computer literacy (Ms Word, Excel and Power Point). |

| Provide leadership, supervision and direction for the provision of improved patient centred care in the three New Beginnings units. Implement an efficient quality improvement programme. Implement effective and efficient Resource management ie human, health technology, financial and physical. Overall Management of the nursing component, including homebased carers/cleaners in all three units. Implement an effective and efficient recovery and psychosocial rehabilitation programme (PSR) for the three Units. Manage development and training programmes for nursing and related staff. |

Remuneration:

R 562 800 - R 633 432 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
