| A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience as a Diagnostic Radiography (Independent Practice) after registration with the HPCSA. |

| Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Diagnostic Radiographer (Independent Practice). |
| |
|
| Be responsible for the smooth running of the angiographic service for the department and the delivery of a professional service to patients and their parents. Produce diagnostic images of high quality and participate in covering the 24-hour service of the department. Be responsible for covering shifts in the general paediatric department. Must be willing to do call for the Angiographic unit. Be responsible for staff and student training in your area. Manage radiography and support personnel, this includes doing their performance appraisals. Ensure quality assurance and the use of suitable radiation protection. Engage with vendors with regards to the maintenance of equipment. Participate in middle management and delegated management tasks this would include the management of the Radiography cost centre. |

| The candidate must have thorough knowledge of radiation protection, quality assurance and equipment safety with regards to angiography examinations. Knowledge of paediatric angiographic protocols. The ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape (written and verbal). Computer literacy (MS Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Good interpersonal and supervisory skills and knowledge of the Staff Performance Management System. |

Grade 1: R 466 119-R 517 326 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
