Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate 3-year Diploma/Degree in Information Technology.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in information technology environment. Appropriate experience in System Administration. Comprehensive training, working experience and knowledge of Electronic Content Management Systems. Appropriate experience in analysing data.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent writing and editing skills in English, Afrikaans and or Xhosa (2 of the three). Competency in desktop support. High level computer competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Provide information management support and assist staff. Guide staff dealing with CHE requirements, accountability as well as measures to ensure accurate and verifiable data. Supervise the assessment of Information Management & Technology training needs at the Western Cape College of Nursing, Multi Campus. Manage the Information Management policies and procedures for the WCCN Directorate, participate in the provincial processes and communicate these policies and procedures to the staff within the WCCN Directorate. Participate in the decision-making processes relating to appropriate software and hardware for WCCN as a HEI and supervise the implementation and maintenance thereof. Manage the purchasing of Information Technology assets and ensure effective control thereof.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) drivers licence.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 376 596 - R 443 601 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
