Budget and staff management skills. Ability to conduct independent research and report research findings to a professional and non-professional audience. Sound skills in community development and participatory approaches. Sound statistical literacy skills. Good written and communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. |

| An appropriate tertiary qualification in a health related or managerial field |

| Candidates may be subjected to a practical assessment. |

| Determine Heath Services needs through an analysis of district profiles, disease determinants and epidemiological trends to inform program policy. Develop strategies, policies, guidelines, protocols and tools to guide forecasting, prioritization, implementation and monitoring of Increasing Wellness program interventions. Direct, co-ordinate and manage transversal, interdepartmental and intersectoral interventions (including training) to facilitate implementation of the Increasing Wellness Program. Monitor and evaluate service delivery performance to determine efficacy of implemented health program interventions. Determine formal research needs and submit to the Director: Service Priorities Coordination. Manage finances, oversee procurement process and supervise the Increasing Wellness Sub-Directorate team. |

Remuneration:

R 869 007 - R 1 023 645 per annum (A portion of the package can be structured according to the individual’s personal needs) A portion of the package can be structured according to the individual's personal needs.
