Assistant to Artisan Internship (6 posts)

Requirements:
Minimum educational qualification:
• General Education and Training Certificate (Grade 9/ Std 7) or equivalent.
 
Experience:
Appropriate technical experience.
 
Inhererent requirements of the job:
• Live near the health facility as advertised (Proof of address to be provided).
• Unemployed youth between ages 18-35 years old.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Good interpersonal and numerical skills.
• Good reading and writing skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
• Assist Artisan or Handyman with determination of materials and tools required.
• Maintenance program according to allocated schedule.
• Make all tools and materials available before commencing with work.
• Provide a clean hygiene and safe working environment.
• Provide a support service to the technical staff.
• Validate that the job requisitions are signed off and handed back.
