Experience:
-Broad experience of hospital systems, procedures and data collection. Proven experience in data processing and data analyses. Appropriate experience in Information Management and Health Systems
 
Note:
Candidates will be subjected to a practical examination to test computer literacy before appointment.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Good meeting and presentation skills and the ability to present data at senior management level and the ability to work in a team context. High level computer competency in Microsoft Office and other software packages. -Knowledge of health systems. -Knowledge of hardware and data management software policies and procedures. The ability to determine, interpret and apply policies. The ability to critically analyse data, data trends and make appropriate recommendations to management. The ability to collate data and package the data in various formats for different users.
 
Duties (key results areas/outputs):
Manage the information systems and administrative support component within the Office of the Chief Directorate. Provide leadership and direction for the implementation of software and hardware in the Chief Directorate, related projects and management needs. Manage the analysis and compilation of statistical reports. Capacitate Information Management staff within the Chief Directorate in the use of appropriate information technology. Provide information management support within the Chief Directorate. -Reporting to various levels. Ensuring accurate data and statistics, accountability and measures to ensure accurate and verifiable data. Systems and project management.

Requirements
Three year National Diploma or Degree
 
Inherent requirement of the job
Willingness to work overtime when required. Valid driver’s licence (Code B). Willingness to travel between WCDOH facilities and perform pre-audit checks.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R376 596 - R 443 601 Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
