| A practical test may form part of the interview process. Only applicants within the Provincial Government: Western Cape will be considered for this post. The successful candidate must be willing to work in one of the central laundries as part of her/his training orientation for a period not longer than two months. |

| Appropriate experience in Health care Linen environment. |
| |
|
| Assist with physical count of linen at various hospitals and other Health institutions within the Western Cape (Periodic & Annual Linen Audits). Assist with redistribution of linen surpluses and assist with issuing /replacement of linen losses. Listing of surpluses and shortages/compiling reports. Reporting of discrepancies. Preparation of all data to be captured on the computer. Compile shortage and surplus report. Updating of linen stock inventory. Assist with linen audits. Optimal support to Linen Management. |

| Senior Certificate (or equivalent). |
| |

| Understand the basic principles with regards to auditing (e.g. WCGH Linen). Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, power point). Knowledge of Bid contracts and Tender procedures. Good interpersonal, conflict management and communication skills. Ability to work independently, as well as in a team. |

| Valid (Code B/EB) drivers licence. Willingness to travel and stay occasionally away from home for long periods. In depth knowledge and able to identify the different types of linen used within Western Cape Government Health. |
