| Assist the hospital management in the strategic management and development of clinical services at Alexandra Hospital. Coordination, participation and management of training of Occupational Therapy students placed in the service. Effective and efficient management of human/ financial and physical resources. Participate in regional and supra-regional service management as well as outreach, support and PSR. Effective and efficient operational and strategic management of the Occupational Therapy (OT) Services in the hospital. |

| Knowledge of applicable health legislation, relevant acts and public service policies and procedures. Basic computer literacy and project management skills. Extensive and appropriate experience in the clinical field and managerial experience in a hospital or health service environment. Psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) training or extensive experience. Self-discipline, self-motivated and ability to work under pressure. Appropriate knowledge and skills in psychosocial habilitation and rehabilitation for Mental Healthcare users with mental disabilities and/ or Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities. Fluency in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape Proven clinical leadership of a multidisciplinary team. -Proven management ability. |
