Artisan Foreman Grade A to C (Carpentry)

Requirements
Appropriate Trade Test Certificate.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Assist with the management of the workshops within the Building technical discipline. Supervise work schedule for the division and supervising and training of staff within the Building technical discipline. Manage and assist with the execution of maintenance projects/repairs within the health facility. Exercise control over tools and materials. Administration duties including staff evaluation, technical report writing, the processing of requisitions, ordering, control of maintenance materials and equipment and specification writing.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Conversant with the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act. Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Computer skills.
 
Experience:
Five years post qualification experience in the relevant field of carpentry.

Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) drivers licence. Ability to serve as a team leader. Ability to do problem solving and decision making. Ability to perform technical analysis. Willingness to attend to emergencies including after hour repairs and standby duties.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 304 263 - R 344 640 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
