Experience:
Appropriate experience in LOGIS and BAS system.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of the PFMA, National Treasury regulations, Provincial Treasury directives, financial delegations, financial procedures and instructions. Good communication and interpersonal skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, BAS, LOGIS). Ability to interpret and apply policies.

Requirements
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) of the post.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Sub system controller. Control, verify, authorise journals, reporting of Asset & Liability accounts, monthly financial reporting, authorise and follow up on debt account. Authorise payments on BAS and LOGIS. Manual authorising of PA’s and orders. Prepare documentation for AFS and IFS (leases and accruals). Manage all Human Resource Management and related functions within the Finance component.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB) to attend workshops, meetings and courses.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 257 508 per annum - R 303 339 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
