Experience:
Appropriate experience in Supply Chain Management practices in legacy systems LOGIS and/or IPS.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Data analysis and sound report writing skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of database building. Computer literacy and possess a high level of competency and knowledge of procurement systems: LOGIS, IPS. Knowledge of the supply chain management environment and an understanding of legislation and policy governing supply chain management. Ability to communicate effectively (written and spoken) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Responsible for the compilation and maintenance of departmental manuals and system related procedures. Assist with LOGIS system policy formulation and maintenance. Develop and maintain an effective/efficient supply chain reporting function to Provincial and National Treasury. Create and maintain SCM SharePoint infrastructure for use by internal and external stakeholders. Provide training and support to end users for SharePoint. Ensure databases on ESL is aligned with Legacy systems data, LOGIS vs ESL, IPS vs reporting outputs ect. Monitor and ensure that user access to legacy systems, LOGIS, IPS ect is accordance with segregation of duties and Departmental Policy. Provide collated reporting service to management through analysis and interpretation of internal data for strategic decision making. Develop presentation of various reports to management.
 
Requirements
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) of the post.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid driver’s (Code B/EB) licence.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 257 508 per annum - R 303 339 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
