Clinical Programme Co-Ordinator Grade 1 (Clinical Nurse Training)

Experience:
A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
 
Requirements
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Professional Nurse. (This dispensation is only applicable for posts of Clinical Programme Co-ordinator where it is an inherent requirement of the post, incumbent to maintain registration with the SANC).
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Coordinate, Manage and administer the implementation and mentor clinical nurse training programmes in line with the Department of Health vision. Monitor and evaluate programmes, goals and targets including the collection, collation, validation and interpretation of statistical data to assess training needs. Arrange and participate in health promotion events as well as special projects and campaigns within the Sub-structure. Ensure competency of staff and provide competency certificates. Liaise with all role players (internal and external) to ensure an integrated health service within the Sub-structure.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good interpersonal relations, leadership and communication skills (verbal and written). Knowledge of Health care 2030 and the Strategic Plan as well as have broad knowledge and exposure to Comprehensive Health Programmes. Ability to analyse health systems information. The follwing skills are required: report writing, project management, presentation as well as computer literacy skills (MS Office: word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Registration with professional council:
Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
 
Inherent requirements of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. Willingness to work overtime if and when required.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 444 276 (PN-A5) per annum - R 500 031 (PN-A5) per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
