A minimum of 9 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 4 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience at management level. |

Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. |

Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. |

|
Knowledge of Quality Improvement, Infection Prevention and Control and Occupational Health strategies in health. Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, EXCEL and Power Point packages. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. |

Provide professional, technical and management support through the establishment, maintenance and participation in inter-professional and multi-disciplinary teamwork for the provision of quality patient care. Develop and monitor the implementation of policies, programmes, regulations, practices, procedures and standards pertaining to nursing care. Utilise information technology and other management information systems to manage nursing information for the enhancement of service delivery. Manage and utilise resources in accordance with relevant directives and legislation. Provide leadership and governance of the nursing department towards the realization of strategic goals and objectives of the division. |

R 843 618 (PN-A8) per annum - R 949 482 (PN-A8) per annum A portion of the package can be structured according to the individual's personal needs.
